Savarkar meeting with a Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on 22 Jun 1940

What happened Between Savarkar meeting with a Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on 22 Jun 1940 ?

Accounts from Both Savarkar and Bose side.

There was dissolution ceremony of “Abhinav Bharat ” On May 10, 11 and 12 th 1952
During the ceremony Savarkar had reported said the following .
I've found this from Uday Mahurkar's biography on Savarkar.
Acc to this, during dissolution ceremony of Abhinav Bharat Savarkar revealed details about his meeting(on 22Jun1940) with Netaji.
Savarkar said he advised bose to go out of India & form alliance with Japan & Germany.

Uday sir mentions his source : V.D. Savarkar, Abhinav Bharat Sangta Bhashane, p. 48.

Savarkar said, “ I asked Subhas Babu the main question, ‘Tell me one thing, in the current world war, what is a person like you doing in India, and leading petty movements like bringing down the statues in Calcutta and getting arrested and going to prison?
What is the meaning of this?’ …The true politics is when you dump the enemies in
the prison, not yourself. And if a person like you is arrested, then that is what the Government wants. When you were the Congress president, we had a secret meeting. With the same confidence, I wish to make a sincere request to you. When I am propagating militarisation you have been opposing it, as just like the other so-called moderate leaders who believe that I am providing manpower to the British. But I will tell you the fact.
I am insisting on Hindus being recruited in the army so that in future these warfare-trained men can revolt against the British and start an armed revolution to gain freedom from the British Rule. During the First World War, we (revolutionaries) reached an with Germany against the British’. I told him about all the efforts we had taken during the First World War. I further told Netaji, ‘See this fresh letter (which was sent secretly to Savarkar through Buddhist monks) by Rash Behari Bose (from Japan). From this, it can be assumed that Japan will blow the war horns within this year. If this happens, then we would get the golden opportunity to attack the British from outside with the help of the German and Japanese weapons and thousands of trained Indian soldiers. At such a time, a leader like you should try and get arrested purposely is a very
harmful thing. Just like Rash Behari Bose and other such revolutionary leaders ecaped from India and went to Japan or Germany, you should also do the same. There in Germany taking the weapons you get you must openly accept the leadership of the Indian army against the British. As soon as Japan enters the war, with whatever possible means either through the Bay of Bengal or through Burma, attack the British rule in India from the outside. Without such a brave act, it is impossible to achieve our independence. I see two or three people capable of such bravery. One of them is you. I have high hopes from you!’ ”

The source of The speech of Savarkar (1952) where Savarkar have said he advised bose to go out of India & form alliance with Japan & Germany can also be found from

Translation for non marathi people :
In a letter dated 2 Jun 1954 ; Savarkar's Secretary Balarao recounts that in the meeting Savarkar advised Bose to not run behind mirage of Hindu–Muslim
unity but seek help of enemies of Britain in the war, such as JAPAN, ITALY & GERMANY.

Source of Balarao letter is Vikram Sampath biography on Savarkar
“Savarkar : A Contested Legacy, 1924-1966 ” (part 2)

Vikram sir mentions his source to be Balarao Savarkar, Hindu Mahasabha Parva, p. 348.

While to get Bose account of the meeting (22 Jun 1940)

Source : Vikram Sampath book , his source is The Indian Struggle

Another this mentioned in Uday sir book is
In a Meeting with S.P. Mukherjee on 8 July 1943/44
Savarkar told S.P. Mukherjee to seperate Bengal part of Hindu Mahasabha from HM if bose comes to India.
Uday sir mentions the source of above claim is
Balarao Savarkar, Swatantryaveer Savarkar, Akhand Hindusthan Ladha Parv, 2020, p. 337.

I have also come across this many times ; in an article too by Akshay Jog (Author of Veer Savarkar : Allegations And Reality )
His source is same as Uday sir source i.e. Savarkar, S.S. alias Balarao, Akhand Hindustan Ladha Parva , veer Savarkar publication 1976 pg 281

From the article:
During meeting with Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on 8 July 1944
Savarkar told him " If Subhash Babu comes to Bengal with his army, you should join him. For this, if needed, the Bengali Hindu Sabha should be separated from the All India Hindu Mahasabha. We will insist on the policy of militarization here and you execute a different policy there.’ (Ref: Savarkar,. alias Balarao, Akhand Hindusthan Ladha Parva, Veer Savarkar Puation, 1976,page 281)

Noone can question credibility of the source
Extract from National archive also imply the same
“If Japanese reach India there is every chance that savarkar and Tara singh will lead their followers into enemy's camp”
++ Mentions Savarkar as Pro Japanese & congress as Anti Japanese during WW2
Indian Daily Mail 9 Jan 1950
Savarkar :“Hindu youths joined the army in 1000s (during WW2) & we knew when ripe would come they would point that very rifles against Brits & they did so.When POW in hands of enemies of Britain they joined ranks of INA & fought for freedom of India.”
